One night I dreamed of a fish—a fish I searched the world for. My journey led me to an elaborate pool party, surrounded by my family from Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. While playing in the water with the children, I discovered my fish.

The love I felt for it was unlike any other—it carried the same warmth and depth I feel for my daughter. I knew then I had to paint it.

I brought a wooden plank to the beach, letting the ocean itself guide my hand. The waves carried the paint, the sand left its traces, and the seawater became part of the piece. What remains is not just paint on wood, but a collaboration with nature—alive with coincidence.
